AIRWAY MANAGEMENT

SFA Manual - $20 (optional)
Conducted by a certified Lifesaving Society Airway Management Instructor

Prerequisites: SFA with CPR-C

​  Respiration and circulation       Importance and application of universal precautions and use of barrier devices              Purpose and use of oropharyngeal airway       Practical application of oxygen supplementation  
Purpose and use of manual suction       Proper sizing, insertion, and follow-up for the use of an oropharyngeal airway
Proper use and application of a manual suction device in the treatment of a victim who is vomiting or who has fluid in the upper airway

Course starts at 10.30 a.m. and ends around 3 p.m.

​Due to ​​COVID-19 conditions Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) measures applied. They are including: 
1. Do not come to the course if you are feel sick
2. If you have like flu symptoms, please notify instructor  
3. Temperature is measured before entering the classroom
4. Low number of candidates are accepted to facilitate social distance.
5. Use of mask and gloves on premises is mandatory, 
(if you do not have them, they are available for $2 fees).
6. Individual equipment provided to each candidate.
7. No physical contact during rescue drills.
8. No two rescuers drills performed.
9. Regular breaks and hand washing implemented.​
